Favorite things and more

I wanted to share some of my newest favorite things! Ever since Jorge and I started this new cleaning schedule I decided I needed some new products to help me out. I usually mop with a steam cleaner, which I do love but it leaves streaks on my wood floor and it doesn't leave that fresh clean smelling. Plus you have to go over the same spot for 10 seconds... T.E.N. thats a long time! Just to actually sanitize. I'm not a mop user I have never liked mopping with a old school mop. SO I bought this handy dandy device:
Its the Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop. I got it from Amazon for $38... Wal-mart has it for less but I'm not sure if it comes with the 2 extra mats. I love it because I can make my cleaning mixture and stick it in there and mop the whole house in WAY less time then it ever took me with the steam mop. I love it for spot mopping, but really I don't mind mopping with this thing at all. NO water to drain, no buckets it just simple and easy clean up. I recommend this or something similar to it if you hate mopping like I do. The pads are washable as well, which I LOVE! I hate having to buy anything after I buy a product.
My newest favorite thing is the Hoover Linx Cordless Vacuum!
I have a area rug in my living room and it is such a pain to pull out the big vacuum for such a small area. Yet it is dirty every day. SO I was vacuuming it about every 3 days. Plus I sweep all day long being that my house is wood and tile. This little vacuum has helped saved my sanity big time! It has 2 settings, one for hard floors and one for carpet, it has great sucking power and is really light weight. PLUS it doesn't take long at all to charge the battery. My floors are much cleaner thanks to this little guy!It even gets right along the wall where other vacuums cant get. I have owned other cordless vac's and none have compared to this one. Both of them broke very easily. Amazon has it for $148.. its a little pricey but so far I think its worth every penny.
Another fav. vacuum is the hand held vacuums. I don't remember which one I have but I love it! It just can be hard to always be bending over to use it.

Obviously I love Amazon. In fact I think its turned into a unhealthy obsession. Jorge and I order EVERY thing from there! A lot of people don't know about amazon's subscriptions. For $79 you get a year membership where you get shipping on all AMAZON items for free. You also get access to movies and books, etc. You can stream them through your computer or your T.V. We have had the Amazon Prime for almost a year now and I am sure we have saved a ton of money. Before I buy anything on amazon I shop around and 9 times out of 10 amazon is the cheapest.
For the past 6 months or so I have been getting my diapers from Amazon. Its a subscription that you sign up for if you have PRIME. I was getting 222 size 3 diapers for $37 and it was delivered straight to my front door every month! I ended up with so many diapers that I had to skip a couple of months. Do your research and you will see that its a great deal for that many diapers!
Now, we subscribe to random things such as toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, body wash, lotion etc. If you subscribe to 5 items you get an additional 20% off! Again I did my research with these items, some things that I wanted to be delivered just weren't worth it, such as laundry detergent :o/  but on everything else we got great deals! For example we get Cottonelle Toilet paper 24 rolls x 2 for $20. Correct me if I'm wrong.. or if its not truly a good deal. I think its pretty great though. I also get 2 jars of cetaphil (normally 10.99/1) for $17.
Anyway I just wanted to share this little tid bit with everyone, its worth looking into. Plus you can't beat having toilet paper delivered to your front door!

Misty, our floors are laminate so we get that annoying streaky look a lot of times. But that first mop doesn't leave streaks, atleast not that I have seen. Walmart has it for $20 doesn't hurt to try it out!
