June thru October in a Nut-shell

Hey friends! Sorry I have been such a slacker lately with this blog. I will try to do a quick update of the last 5 months and then try to keep up with this for the future!

So on June 23rd my beautiful baby girl made her appearance! Juliana Grace weighing in at 7.6oz and 19in (actually 21in) long. She was a heffer that one!

A week after she was born we headed to Tucson for Ladd and Kates wedding. Her first trip out of town and first stay at a resort. We spent the weekend in Tucson and on that Monday Jorge took off to Maryland for training with his new job.

He was in Maryland 6 weeks and I'm not gonna lie it was a really hard time for me at first. I was really depressed, sleep deprived and poor Gabe was getting the brute of my anger. It was not a good time for me. Thank goodness I have amazing friends who helped me through it and a husband who was more then understanding and sorry that he couldn't help me out. AND thank goodness Juliana was/is an angel baby. But after the 6 weeks I had had enough and I decided to fly out to Charleston to spend Jorges next 4 weeks of training with him.
We flew out on a Tuesday..just me and the 2 beans. I was scared to death to fly with 2 kids, a new baby and a potty trained little boy, who I was sure would want to go to the batheroom half a dozen times. But the trip went exceptionally well.

Charleston was amazing!! We decided that we would move there in a heartbeat. It was so beautiful! We did a carriage ride downtown...went to the beach several times, ate sooo much delish food! Unfortunatly after being there only 5 days my back totally gave out on me. I was in bed for a week. It was truely the worst pain I have ever had in my life. I was fortunate enough to have found a great doctor there who took great care of me. I have to have an MRI done to know for sure but they think I have chronic bulging disc...the chronic part does not make me happy at all. Even now I am still recovering from it.
After the 4 weeks in Charleston we flew home and started to try to get back to normal life. Jorge was thrown on the the night shift at work so that took some getting used to, but I like it for the most part. I feel like we get more time with him.
I think September was fairly uneventful. My birthday was the best this year that it has been in a long time. We had a fundraisor for Susan G. Komen.. Amanda ended up with over $500 from it! It was a really fun night..even though I had a curfew that night...lol.. darn babysitters.

In the begining of October we took a trip to Rocky Point (Mexico) with Jorges mom, uncle, Haley and Caleb. It was so relaxing and a great time as always. I love that place so much, the water is so blue and beautiful and its just the best place ever.

The Friday after we got back I got word that my Uncle passed away. So that night I bought plane tix for me and Gabe and on Sat. the kids and I took off to Indiana. My aunt Susie and cousin Brooke are more like a mother and sister to me. So all I could think was that I just had to be there for them. I couldn't imagine not being there. The whole week we were there was like a whirl-wind..everything was so crazy and happend so fast, but I am glad that I was able to be there. Plus I got to see my grandparents which I always love to see.

We were there 9 days and then we flew back home on Monday. Tuesday I had a Hida Scan, to look into my gallbladder...I have been having a lot of issues so after 2 ultra-sounds, lots of bloodwork and now this Hida Scan the dr. has finally concluded that it is indeed my gallbladder. I meet with a surgeon this week to see about getting it out. Anyway..we got back on Monday and Jorge had been sent to California for work. So the Tuesday and Wednesday we were alone and I really wasn't sure what to do with myself.. I felt like I need to just go go go. After talking to Jorge on Wednesday I decided I would pack the kids up and drive to Jorge. I was super nervous but I decided to do it and on Thursday we got up and out by 7am. It was actually a really fun experience. Thank goodness I have been blessed with the best travelers in the world! The kids did amazing!
We got to Cali after 9 hours of driving and Jorge had the whole weekend off so on Friday night we went to Dave and Busters (which was a BLAST) and then to dinner at Midievel Times, Gabe LOVED it! Saturday we got up and took the kids to Disneyland. It was fun, but I don't want to take the kids back until they are older and can really enjoy it.
The rest of the week Jorge had to work so I just went to the mall...a lot... everyday. Hung out with the kids. I'm not a huge California fan..I can say that for sure. Friday morning we woke up and drove back home.

So that has been our past couple of months in a nut-shell. Who knows what new adventures we have in our future but I sure am excited to find out!
