Confession

I have been putting off writing this blog post for a couple of reasons,           1. Who wants to confess anything                   to anyone EVER?!           2. My computer is capooot right  now which means I have to do the writing from my phone which is a huge pain.  Unfortunately, I just keep getting this feeling that I need to write this out, if for no one but for myself.  Let me just back up a little bit before I word vomit all over the page. I have been feeling like I need to change something in me, so I have been working at it for awhile now. However, this past week was one of those weeks where everytime I turned around it was being thrown in my face. Whether it be word pictures I saw {thank you pinterest and Instagram for getting all up in my biz} or bible study, or amazing speakers or just friends speaking unknowingly about my soon to be c...

Thirty Is My Time!

I turned 30! Yes, I say that with SO much excitement! I have NEVER seen 30 as a bad age. There is NOTHING negative about it.   Here are some completely random lessons that I have learned through the years: My 20's were great, I met my husband, got married, had 3 babies, re-found my love for Jesus (The Lord and Savior, not the Mexican who does our yard work) and learned many, many, many....many lessons along the way. My 20's were a huge learning time for me. I learned who I really am, who I want to be, how to love in a genuine way, how to be a friend, a mom and a wife. All of these things I learned but I also am still working on. I learned that people come and go in our lives, and that's ok! I learned that people are not going to act the way we think they should. People are going to let us down in huge ways unfortunately. Yet, there are people who will come through for you in huge ways too, who will teach you how to love in immeasurable ways, who will teach you how to...

Jocelyn's Sparkling Party

This weekend we celebrated my baby girls 1st birthday. Her birthday is September 3 but Labor Day weekend was the perfect time to have a party. I didn't want a theme really, just a color scheme so I went with gold sparkles and pink. It was fun and I went a little nuts with spray paint! Pretty sure Jorge is not in love with the glitter all over the garage but I think it adds character ;)  So many good friends came to celebrate with us and all in all it was a great time.  Drink station  Can't go wrong with cute straws Cake pops Wands I made for the kids Jocy baby before the party  Cookies Wands {I cheated and had Caycee make these for me, thanks friend!} Lots of friends!  Q, S and J Grandma, Dan and baby cousin zachy Cousins  Cake time!  Cake made by my friend tess Caitlyn and skylar  Katie bug  Tess and Kate Annamarie... Seriously nobody should look this good right after ...

Failure is Not The End

Lately I have been reading a lot about people's failures. You might think that's a bad thing, but not a single one of the stories I have read ended badly. People talk about their struggles and how their businesses didn't succeed as they had hoped. Yet they picked up and kept going, even if that meant finding something else to do, or another business to start.  Everyone has to fail first in order to succeed. I think it makes us stronger, it builds character, it makes us try hard and press farther. Recently I decided to go for something, something pretty big. I submitted the application which was full of personal information including essay questions which were really personal and deep. Going into it I realized I was severely under qualified in most areas, but I figured why not try anyway. Filling out those forms I learned so much about myself, about my true passions, about who I have become in the past few years and also who I am not. I hit the submit bottom with high anxiet...

Stepping up and Stepping Out

Every once in a while I get the cajones to try something new. As I get older I find myself getting more and more comfortable in the same everyday things. I like to drink my spark (Not the alcoholic drink!) first thing in the morning, if for some reason I can't have it my day is shot! It throws me off balance and messes up my whole day. I usually order the same things at the same restaurants. If I am going to pay for food, I want to be sure I am going to like it! I know the places that I like to buy certain shirts or shoes or perfume. I like to end my day in my Bible, without that I don't feel complete. I'm comfortable, and I like being comfortable. Yet, sometimes I decide to get a little crazy and step outside of that comfy cozy zone. Its easy for me to encourage other people to do it, I can see their strengths and I can see that they would do great at trying out that new thing. I can't see that in myself however, I don't think most people can see the potential in ...

My favorite products

I thought it would be fun to share some if my favorite products with you all!  Let's start with eye make up remover! I LOVE Mary Kay's eye make up remover. It's the only one I have ever used that actually takes off all of the makeup AND doesn't burn at all! At $15 a pop it's totally worth it and can last forever! If you have been searching for "the one" look no further!  If you live in a dry place like I do you probably need more moisture then other people do. I hardly ever use lotion anymore because it just feels watered down to me and sometimes it feels like it just sits on top of my skin rather then getting in there to rehydrate it. So I use cetaphil CREAM. I love it with all of my being! Ok that's going a little far but I really do love it. It's thick and it really helps to hydrate the skin In Ways that lotions don't. It's a little pricey {about $10} but it's totally worth it! One jar goes a longggg way.  About 3 weeks ago I was in ...

Admitting failure

Okay guys here it goes... After writing my last post on dealing with keeping your sanity, I lost it. Sunday was a really bad day for me, I mean really bad. However, I woke up on Monday with good intentions of it being a good day... And that went south real fast. It was a horrible day. I did go to the gym that afternoon and it helped tremendously. So, Tuesday I woke up yet again with good intentions. My morning went great, as I was in Tucson alone the whole morning. The afternoon went okay but the night was horrible. I just lost it. Sometimes you know the RIGHT things to do or you know what you SHOULD do but we get stubborn and stuck in our own heads and choose to do the wrong thing instead. Then we feel lost, defeated, and then horrible regret. I'm going to add 2 things to my list of how to stay sane and really these 2 might be the very most important.  1. Ask for help!  I have certain people that I go to for advice on different subjects. I used to never ask for help but...
